Switzer was commissioned by Katie Munda in July 2014 after she lost her beloved pittie to old age. Katie and I share a lot in common with our soft spot for pit bulls and our love and support for animals and adoption, so we bonded quite easily and she was an absolute delight to work with! She told me about how they saved Switzer when he was just 4 months old. He was a stray at their local pound - emaciated, exhausted and covered in flea bites. Thanks to Katie and her husband for being such compassionate people, Switzer was soon nursed back to health and lived a long and happy life.

Switzer close up
Switzer arrived Monday and it's just breathtaking. My heart is so full of joy when I look at his beautiful portrait! I just can't thank you enough! Our sweet boy is so, so missed around our house. We can't to wait to hang to hang his portrait and see his happy face again. It's been so wonderful to correspond with you. I feel like we are kindred spirits through our immense love of dogs. Thank you again for helping us honor his memory! I will be working with you again the next time we have to say goodbye to one of our loves!
