Rebel and Missy

Yellow Labs (Springfield, Missouri)

Rebel and Missy were commissioned by Anita Clark for her husband as a birthday gift in January 2013.

Anita ordered this painting of their beloved labs after both pups sadly passed away from cancer. Her story of their love for both pups touched my heart, and I worked extra hard with her to make sure the painting turned out exactly as she wanted. I combined 3 different photos into the concoction you see above, and the original photo Anita sent me is pictured below.

It's a little scary to order an original painting via email - will it turn out like you want - will it be delivered at all? In working with Heather, I never had either of those questions in my mind. She emailed me every 2 or 3 days to let me know how the painting was progressing. She also always included photos of her progress. And as you can see by the photo and the painting, it looks exactly like my dogs. That is an accomplishment in and of itself but it's even more impressive when you realize that I did not have 1 good photo of my dogs, rather 3 separate photos which had components that I liked. Heather took those 3 photos and combined them into 1 photo for me to see what the finished product would look like and to be sure it was what I wanted. I ordered the painting for my husband's birthday. These 2 labs were his pride and joy. Unfortunately, he lost them both to cancer late last year. When he saw the painting he broke down in tears. I think it means more to him than any other gift I've ever given him. THANK YOU Heather!
